Kieko came to LBJ Medical following an acute hospitalization for CHF, hypertension and multiple medical complications. She had difficulty with functional mobility and lost the ability to perform basic ADLs safely without extensive help. She was unable to walk or transfer with out max physical assist. This was a major change from being independent living with her son in Johnson City. She worked very hard with Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy to regain her independence and safely perform ALDs. She was able to return home using a RW and able to complete self care with supervision. She has returned home to enjoy her family and friends and continue home health therapy to continue to thrive.
