Marissa Parker
President
Marissa Parker started her career in long-term care as a speech-language pathologist. She quickly took on her first Director of Rehabilitation position in a skilled nursing facility and grew the rehabilitation program to be one of the top in the region. In 2019 she received her Licensed Nursing Home Administrator license and ran the same facility she served as Director of Rehabilitation. Marisa initiated several clinical programs, including a Mobile Outpatient Program that serviced the West Texas area. After her tenure as an Administrator, Marisa returned to her therapy roots and serves as the President of Vital Therapy. She possesses a strong knowledge of operations and clinical outcomes. Memory Care and program development are her biggest passions and she loves to transform facility culture.

Jean Facteau
Director of Therapy Compliance
Jean Facteau is an experienced Occupational Therapist and the Director of Therapy Compliance at Vital Therapy. With a strong background in regulatory compliance, clinical oversight, quality assurance, and policy development, she leads the organization’s efforts to ensure therapy services meet the highest standards of clinical integrity. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Professions from Ohio State University and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University. Jean is a certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) through RESNA and holds RAC-CT credentials from AAPACN. She is also actively involved in professional organizations, including the National Association of Rehab Providers and Agencies (NARA) and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

Jamie Funk
Director of Therapy Talent Acquisition
Jamie Funk is our Director of Therapy Talent Acquisition and has more than 25 years of experience in matching great therapists with great jobs in skilled nursing, post-acute, and outpatient healthcare settings. She especially enjoys helping small organizations grow through finding the right people and making sure they end up in professional roles where they will flourish and grow. When she is not talking to therapists, she spends her time adventuring in the backcountry wilderness of Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico with her family and friends.

Sandeep Pokhrial
Regional Director of Therapy
Sandeep Pokhrial is a rehabilitation leader blending clinical expertise (DPT-Musculoskeletal) with operational and financial acumen to transform post-acute care. With more than 10 years directing high-performing rehab programs across skilled nursing facilities, long-term care, and home health settings, he has consistently driven both exceptional patient outcomes and organizational success.
His combination of frontline clinical insight, financial discipline, and a passion for mentoring teams helps to deliver care that is both clinically exceptional and operationally sustainable.

Brad Mitchell
Regional Director of Therapy
Brad graduated from Navarro College’s Occupational Therapy Assistant Program in 1998. He immediately started his long-term care career in East Texas. Mitchell was quickly promoted to a Director of Rehab position. It was during this time that he returned to school to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration which prepared him for the next phase of his career as a Regional Director of Operations in Austin. He remained in Austin for many years before relocating to Dallas in 2010. Brad has been happily married for 14 years and has three grown children: Grace, Reid, and Ava.

Danny Purvis
Regional Director of Therapy
As Regional Director of Rehabilitation, Danny is dedicated to ensuring patients achieve the highest possible level of functionality and quality of life. Before joining Vital Therapy, Danny amassed extensive experience in management and therapy, specializing in ambulatory rehabilitation services and long-term care with a focus on geriatric rehabilitation. He is passionate about empowering his team to provide holistic care to every therapy patient, supported by interdisciplinary services. Danny holds a degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant from McClennan College. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife of 19 years and their two adult children, and working on and around their farm.

Rick Madrzak
Regional Director of Therapy
Rick has a proven track record of excellence and performance, even when navigating challenges and adversity. His portfolio has consistently excelled in key metric areas, reflecting his ability to drive success through strategic vision and action.
If he were to define his professional ethos in one phrase, it would be: “Passionate about excellence in patient care.” He firmly believes that fostering and developing clinical programming tailored to the unique needs of the residents we serve is at the heart of his business unit’s achievements.
As a servant leader, he is committed to empowering his teams by ensuring they have the resources, tools, and support needed to deliver exceptional care. This leadership philosophy creates an environment where both residents and rehabilitation professionals can thrive.
